I’ve been coming for many, many years. I worked at Forge in Dearborn, so it was close by, and I actually started seeing Steve’s dad, Dr. Jim, for many years, and then when Steve came, it was a great replacement, and Steve has just been terrific for me. He’s done extensive work.

My teeth aren’t the best, but Steve has been very accommodating, very friendly, very terrific overall. The staff here at Gusfa Dental is tremendous. If you have a problem, you can contact them, and they’ll get you in as quickly as possible, usually the same day, the day after.

They can’t do enough for you. The whole office staff is wonderful. I’ve been coming back for so many years because of the service and because of the great work that Dr. Steve does.

For friends and family, I would definitely recommend Gusfa Dental. You can expect the very best quality, friendly service, people willing to help you whenever you need it. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I started with Gusfa Dental, I believe it was 1975. My son was three years old, needed to find a dentist right in the area, and so I started with Jim Gusfa. As his practice progressed, Steve, his son, got his dental degree and started working with his dad as a partnership.

So it was very easy for me to continue going to Gusfa, and then as Jim started waning out the practice, I easily just continued with Steve, and I’ve been very happy ever since. Oh my goodness, he could not be more kind, sensitive, comforting. He’s never rushed.

I know he’s got, you know, back-to-back appointments, but I’ve never seen him where there isn’t just focused on me, and that’s really important to me. He listens well. They know my name.

When I call, I’m recognized, and that’s always a big plus. When I come in, I’m greeted as, oh my goodness, it’s good to see you. How have you been? It’s like a family, and when I come in, I’m like one of the extended family that’s being welcomed.

I know so many people that try to avoid the dentist at any cost. They’re really frightened, and they don’t like it, and it might be so from past experiences of maybe a dentist that wasn’t as caring and kind and as sensitive as Steve is. I would recommend him without any reservation whatsoever, particularly to somebody who was nervous, and it doesn’t matter your age.

There are people that are elderly that have been going to the dentist for years, but also not happy with it and avoiding it, but it’s really, really good for families with children to start up with somebody that is kind, considerate, and Steve does that. I think he’d be really good to start children with, then that will alleviate that fear that many people have of going to the dentist.

I have been coming to Gusfa Dental Care for 40 plus years. I originally started with Dr. James Gusfa at Henry Ford Hospital. And when I was employed there, I still am employed there.

When he went to private practice, I followed him to private practice. And then when his son, Dr. Steven Gusfa joined, I continued on. I continue to come back to Dr. Gusfa’s clinic because the service is fantastic.

Not just the competency, but the customer service, very transparent regarding pricing, and everyone is just very confident and makes you feel just like part of their family. Dr. Gusfa has a really great chair-side manner. Very open, very professional and friendly.

Knows the questions to ask, talks about family, things like that. And then gets the work done. Well, they run very much on time, which as myself, like many others, our time is just so tight these days.

So usually I’m taken right in the appointment. They identify themselves and let you know what they’re going to do. They just stay focused on their job and do a really good job in the cleaning.

You know you’ve had your teeth cleaned.

When I was going through my cancer journey, I could not come to the dentist due to the treatment. So six years later, I made an appointment and I came back and I knew I was gonna have to start pretty much from day one. When I saw Dr. Gusfa and he took a look at my mouth, he says, you can save your teeth.

So that made my whole day. I mean, I felt like a brand new person, but I knew it was going to take a lot of work. And it was approximately over a year that I had to have quite a few of my teeth restored with crowns and fillings.

Every procedure that he does, he tells you each and every step. There have been quite a bit of times since I’ve been to the dentist. I haven’t been around the drills and the, you know, x-rays and so forth, but he just kind of gently touched my hand and he says, we’re going to get through this.

And that meant the world to me, just the gentleness, you know, the concern. And as long as you kind of walk me through stuff and communicate with me and I can prepare myself for whatever you’re going to do, instead of someone who would just do stuff and not say anything, the fear was taken away. Just the smiles, the kindness, when I walk in the door, the welcoming, they feel like family.

My teeth haven’t been great my whole life, so I’ve had many extractions, many root canals, and the last one where two teeth failed on my lower level, Steve decided that was still enough to do an extensive mouth partial. So my bottom teeth are two regular teeth and a partial that covers the rest of the mouth. I never thought he could do it.

He did a fantastic job. My life has changed because of the great dental care I’ve been getting. I think my quality of life has been far better than it would have been if I hadn’t been involved with Dr. Steve.

I approached Dr. Gusfa regarding Invisalign because I had had braces, you know, much younger, but I noticed some shift in my teeth, and I asked him, you know, what his opinion was on that, and he did suggest that that Invisalign may be a good option for me. The process of getting my Invisalign here was very easy, very, just a very smooth process. First was the initial consultation, did the molding of the teeth, as well as met with the office manager regarding pricing, length of time that you’d be wearing the Invisalign, the way that the process went, and then once the molds were turned in and came back to the office, then at that point we started the process and would come in and you would use the same molds for the recommended time that Dr. Gusfa had given, and you’d return back in, he would check them and see if you’re ready for the next set.

Now that I’ve completed my Invisalign treatment, I love my smile. I received so many compliments about the Invisalign, you know, the results of the Invisalign. Dr. Gusfa is someone I continue to see because I trust him to the point that I live well over 50 miles from here and make the trip in to see Dr. Gusfa twice a year and plan on continuing that.

I’ve had great service and over the years has never disappointed me.
